Set up a system of equations using the sum and difference equation.

    x + y = 180      definition of supplementary angles

+    x - y = 35

     2x   = 215

       x   = 107.5

x + y = 180  ⇒  107.5 + y = 180   ⇒   y = 72.5

Answer: 107.5 and 72.5
