Patrick has thirty cookies and he gives 4 to Mary and 8 to Louie. How many cookies does Patrick have now ?

He has 30 and gets rid of 4 so 26 cookies then gets rid of 8 more, so then 18 cookies left.

=> P= 30 - 4
=> P= 26
=> P= 26 - 8
=> P= 18
