x/5 + x/2 =14
⇒ 2x/10 + 5x/10 = 14 (common denominator)
⇒ 7x /10 = 14
⇒ 7x* (10/10) = 14*10
⇒ 7x = 140
⇒ (7/7)*x= 140/7
⇒ x= 20

The final answer is x=20.
